树上，有一只毛毛虫。
日升月落，毛毛虫机械地吃着树上的叶子，为了做茧，为了化成美丽的蝴蝶。日子，似乎理所当然如此单调。
突然，有一天，毛毛虫在一片叶子面前停下了嚼动的嘴巴。他喜欢上了这片叶子。 连他自己都莫名其妙，自己怎么 会喜欢一片叶子呢？但，这却是太阳从东边出来的真理。
“我喜欢你！”毛毛虫坏坏的对叶子说。
叶子哭了。这个坏蛋！他杀死了我那么多同类，现在竟然用那沾满了血腥的嘴说喜欢我？！！
“你要吃我就快点动手吧！别在那猫哭耗子，假慈悲！坏蛋！坏蛋！！”
毛毛虫愣了一下，呆在那里，静静的看着叶子哭泣。一直到叶子哭累了停下，一直到叶子安静的睡着～～毛毛虫饿了一天的肚子。
阳光活泼地跳跃在每个角落，叶子睁开朦胧的双眼，突然发现毛毛虫身上布满了深深的伤口。“哈，你也有遭报应的一天，大坏蛋！”“你～～你不知好歹！”毛毛虫满腔愤怒，转身欲要离去，但又安静下来。呆在那里不动。叶子一脸得意的样子瞅着毛毛虫。
周围的叶子告诉她 ，昨天晚上叶子熟睡的时候 ，一大群毛毛虫要在这里大开杀戒，他一直守护着她，跟他自己的族人作对，现在他已经完全被族人孤立了。“报应！”叶子说， 心里却涌出一种从未有过的感觉。
日子一天天过去 ，从喜欢上叶子，毛毛虫再也没有吃过一片叶子。只要有毛毛虫来侵犯他这块自封的“领地”饿得发昏的他就不知从哪来了力气，猛扑上去。叶子不在讨厌毛毛虫了。毕竟，有这么个守护神，日子不必总在提心吊胆中度过。
“哎，坏蛋！你为什么会喜欢我呢？我是叶子呀？我是你的敌人！”
“～～不知道，感觉，总是说不清的，对吗？可是，我是真的喜欢你！”
“那你干嘛伤害我的朋友～～”叶子的眼泪又忍不住落下来。
“对不起～～”毛毛虫不知所措了，“可自从认识你，我再也没有吃过一片叶子，真的。”
“那，会很饿吗？”
“嗯，不过没关系，好高兴呢，你终于肯和我这个坏蛋说话了。”
叶子抬头看着蓝蓝的天，沉默无语～～
好突然的雨，转瞬便大了起来。风雨中，叶子四处摇摆。
“叶子，你没事吧！”毛毛虫担心地问。
“你傻呀，找个地方避避雨呀？我没事，不用你担心的！”叶子看着好瘦的毛毛虫，急急地喊到。
“不用的，我没事。我要守着你！”毛毛虫倔强地说，把那颗爱着叶子的心紧紧贴在树干上。叶子哭了～～
雨，下了一夜。
雨过天晴，毛毛虫们开始在光秃秃的树干上做茧筑巢了。毛毛虫知道自己跟叶子待在一起的时间，不多了。
“毛毛虫”叶子不想再叫他坏蛋，“你不建一个自己的家吗？”
“不着急的。”毛毛虫尽量装出快乐的样子，“叶子，问你一个问题好吗？”
“嗯。”
“你喜欢我吗？哪怕只是一点点，我想知道的。”
“不知道～～至少～～不讨厌。”
“呵呵～那就够了，已经值得了。”毛毛虫笑了，“如果有一天我走了，你会想我吗？”
“你要走吗？是要去筑一个那样的家吗？一定很温暖呢！习惯了你的存在呢，我想会想一点点吧，哪天起床突然不见了那条赖着不走的毛毛虫，会失掉一份感觉的。”
“那是怎样的感觉呢？”
“心烦的感觉，”叶子撇了撇嘴笑笑。“开玩笑的，是～～说不出来呀？总之，你还是赖在这就是了。在这筑建一个家呀，我不会介意了。”
“嗯，知道的。如果可以，我一定会的。”
黄昏的余光撒在毛毛虫身上，有些冷了。饥饿，加上淋了一夜的雨，毛毛虫快要失去知觉了。
深夜。。。“叶子，我－爱－你，”毛毛虫靠在熟睡的叶子耳边，轻轻地说。
清晨。。。露珠唤醒了叶子。叶子习惯的朝那里看去，毛毛虫消失了！
“毛毛虫！”叶子喊道。
“他走了？不会的！他走一定会向我打招呼的，这个坏蛋！”叶子哭了，“他～～他是去筑家了吗？”
“不是，他去了一个比遥远还遥远的地方，你不会在见到他的。他～～死了。”
“死～了～～？”叶子呆了，“怎么会呢？昨天，就在昨天他还跟我说话呢！他说过要保护我的！他说过要把家筑在我的身边的～～～！为什么呢？为什么他会死呢？他不守信用！坏蛋！！”
“你够傻的，他多少天没有吃东西了？哪里还有力气去筑一个家？”
“那～～他可以吃掉我呀！”
“怎么会？可以的话他早做了的，他爱你，又怎么会伤害你！！”
叶子沉默了，人凭泪水在风中被吹干，留下咸咸的味道。～～
“毛毛虫，你这个坏蛋，你知道吗？我～～爱你～～”一阵风吹过，叶子使劲晃动自己的身躯，随风缓缓飘落～～～～

This is a part of the lyrics from Simple Plan’s “Welcome to my life”. I like this song because the lyrics are direct and reflects the emotions of most teenagers when they are down. Frankly, my early teenage years was like that, full of uncertainties and contradictions. I’d ever locked myself in my room with loud music and shouted (sometimes cried too). That was the phase when my emotion changes very quickly because I wasn’t able to handle the problems I had with my family, friends, feelings, studies and myself (self conflict) well. After hearing this song, at least I know that I’m not the only one like that. I wonder how many of you actually faced those problems before and did the same thing like me?
As we grow, the fears and doubts we used to have fades away slowly as we gain courage and confidence along. Now, I’m using past tense for that. Hopefully, “Welcome to My Life” can be sung happily for we know we’re not alone…life is wonderful~

Not only do you have to pay, you /Pay Until Bankrupt/ ( PUB ).
If that's not enough, somebody still /Purposely Wants to Dig/
( PWD ) and get more from you.
So what more can you do when you are in the /Money Only
Environment/ ( MOE )? With the current /Mad Accounting System/
( MAS ), you are forced to /Pay the Sum Ahead/ ( PSA ),
which will leave some people
/Permanently Owing Some Banks/ ( POSB ).
And forced to live on the /Loan
Techniques Always/ ( LTA) system.
When you fall sick and happen to be admitted to a
/Money Operating Hospital /( MOH ), you might be able to
use your /Cash Prior to Funeral/( CPF ) fund.
If you are out of luck, you may meet doctors who /Never
Use Heart/ ( NUH ) to treat you, and you will be
/Sure to Give up Hope/( SGH ).
To help ease the traffic, motorists have to pay
/Cash On Expressway/ ( COE ). If that doesn't help, they can always
/Eternally Raise Prices/ ( ERP ) on the roads.
If you don't own a car, you can always make a
/Mad Rush to the Train/ ( MRT ), or get squashed in a bus
/Side By Side/ ( SBS ).
Lastly, under all these pressures, there are not many places
we can relax, not even the good old place we used to go
because it has become
/So Expensive and Nothing To See Actually/
( SENTOSA )!!!

This is something that really caught my attention and really laugh my ass out when I read it!
GSCE 'O' Levels
Hokkien Exam Paper
Instructions:
1. Read the passage carefully
2. Grade yourself with the grading system at the end of the passage after reading.
3. Not that difficult, chin chai do lah !
Section A: Orrler Exeminetion (60 marks)
Question:
Singalella why become rich ?
Koo zhar wu chee ay char bor kia, Singalella.
She got two sisters, but the stepmarder and the sisters all damn kuai-lan, so she quite zhia-lat oso.
Last time Singalella got own maid, but now she become the amah.
Everyday must cook lah, clean lah, simi sai mah bao-kah-liao.
If her sister say liak kar zhuak, she liak.
Tak jit zho kah tau-hin.
CPF poon boh.
But then, kay piak eh ah-pek got one son call Ah Ming got party.
So he say, "oeh, long chong lai ah."
Singalella very happy because she never go party before but then her step-marder say, "Lee Mana eh-sai kee, this one bahru lu eh sisters wu standard."
Then Singalella must zho sui-sui for her sisters and step-marder.
Tap pai how, buay zhia, buay koon and buay pang-sai.
That night she only can wave bye bye and then she go back to the kitchen and cook Maggi mee.
Her neighbour came over and ask, "Eh, an-zhua lu boh kee party?"
So Singaalella kong, "I-wan, lau-bu kong buay-sai, so boh pian."
She never expect but the neighbour say, "Aiyah, kee lah, I give you money."
So singalella brush teef and zhang-zhui, chen-kor, after that look very different.
She quickly run to opposite of the beh-chia-lor, already 11 o'clock.
At the party, Ah Ming also quite sian because the char bor all boh sui one.
Dance floor even got one ah pek dancing.
Just as Ah Ming told himself, "Aiyah see-pay zhia-lat", Singalella came in.
Ah Ming straight away lau nuar.
"Wah-lau eh, see-pay heng ah, chee kor buay pai."
Ah Ming say to Singalella, "eh, sui eh, wah ai kah lee zho flen!"
Singalella say ok but Ah Ming like octopus, touch here touch there.
But then just it was 12 o'clock, one ah pek die on the dance floor.
He become ghost and tell Singalella all the good 4D number.
So after that Singalella quickly go and buy 4D, and then tiok tau-pio, zhit-pak ban.
So she pay back the kay-piak eh lau-kay-poh and then kah kee cho sen-lee.
Simi kuan eh sen-lee wah mana eh zhai.

A1. Can understand the story and pronounce Hokkien correctly.
Hokkien eh sai, bo beh zao.
A2. Can understand half story and/or cannot pronounce Hokkien properly.
